Eligibility

  • Relevant experience (in the last 5 years)
  • Intention and financial ability to be self-employed in Canada.
  • To make a significant contribution in specified economic activities as defined in the Regulations through either:
    1. self-employment in cultural activities (music teachers, painters, illustrators, film makers, freelance journalists. Beyond that, the category is intended to capture those people who work behind the scenes, for example, choreographers, set designers, coaches and trainers.
    2. self-employment in athletics
  • self-employment in the purchase and management of a farm
  • Other Factors to QUALIFY:
    1. Education
    2. Language Ability (IELTS/CELPIP/TEF)
  • Adaptability (Spouse’s education, Relative in Canada, Working experience in Canada)
